The liquor shop/convenience store at Prospect and Frye in Peoria (near Glen Oak Park and Woodruff High School) at times appears to be a jumpin' open air drug market, sometimes with lookouts posted on nearby streets. At other times, it's very quiet. What's the story on this place? A neighbor once told me it has been reported to police who say they can't do anything about it.

We believe the address that you are refering to is 1302 E. Frye. It is owned by the Frey Corporation: P.O. BOX 1388 PEORIA, IL 61654. Trust and Mortgage records in the Peoria County Recorder of Deeds Office, reflects the involvement of Southside Bank and Southside Bank and Trust with a history as trustee and as mortgagor/mortgagee of the property. Now the local address of the agent for Frey Corporation is 524 NE Madison. That is the attractive brick four square, that has fencing all over the windows and doors. We really must get a photo of it for www.shameonpeoria.blogspot.com. No crime there of course, except for an act of aesthetic sabotage!

To make this site trully a community project, we ne your comments and tips. There are enough drug houses and busts in Peoria to provide this site with at least one featured "crackhouse" per day. - Jeramy L. Barnwell, 19, of 952 S. Shelley St. was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at his home and booked on charges of possessing marijuana, possession with the intent to deliver and unlawful use of a weapon.

But does the fruit fall far from the tree? Perhaps LaVetta Ricca can give Paula B. a call and ask her what kind of a "B" would have this operation going on in her own house.

Own/owned a number of properties on Madison and its side streets for more than a decade. But I've noticed how people who live in Morton, must feel guilty for living in a town where it is rumored that black people are not allowed to live. In an apparent effort to assuage their guilt, they buy the kind of houses in Peoria where you'd think only cockroaches would want to live. But these Lords of the Drug Houses, seem to find and endless line of people who aren't allowed to live in Morton, ready to pay ridiculously high rent in neighborhoods where kids carry guns to school. And this is how their tenants pay that ridiculously high rent.

Anyone want to give old Jack a call and see what he says about this situation?

Peoria - A 25-year-old Peoria man was arrested by members of the Multi-County Narcotics Enforcement Group on Friday after they found a pound of marijuana in his home during a search.

The street value of the drug is about $10,000.

Julius M. Giles, 25, of 1619 NE Madison Ave. was arrested about 9:10 a.m. and booked on a charge of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver more than 2,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams.

ROBERT E FISHER of 394 RIVERVIEW BLUFS METAMORA IL 61548, owns a decent looking house on North Street. But you might want to keep an eye on it. This evening I drove by and there were at least a dozen kidswho looked to be grade school or younger, and one possible "baby momma" out in the small front yard......not an adult in sight. And of course this is right across the street from Nick Fady's delinquent(s) at 1313 N North.

125 W. RIchmond - Clotee Carpenter

This house hit the peoriacrackhouse skyline by virtue of the numerous thug wannabees that hang around this property which is just a little over a block from Peoria High School. The nice neighbors across the street, have put their house up for sale as a result of the crowds that form once school is out and into the evening.

Despite the fact that the property was in forclosure in 2001 for a $32k mortgage granted in 1999, the owner of record, Clotee Carpenter received a $17,500.00 in home improvement loans from the city of Peoria later on in 2001. Nice! Your income and sales tax dollars at work funding bad credit risks that maintain the neighborhood drug house that keeps the junkies, living and coming through the neighborhood.

I'm certain that if someone looked into the City's Home Improvement Loan program, one would find a disgustingly high percentage of loans that defaulted, and a lot of suspect work. It is just as much of a "poverty pimp" as giving SSI to alcoholics and addicts.

2402 N Sheridan - B & B Properties -Carrie Ballard

give 2402 N. Sheridan a try on this spot. If you go up on the porch the stench is overwhelming. They attract local drug dealers, thugs, etc. They have taken over the driveway @ 2400 Sheridan. That house, although beautiful, cannot have tennants because of the antics of 2402.. They attract children to buy them alcohol and drugs. Nothing is done


The house was at one time owned by Carrie Ballard, the owner of a property on Illinois that was "shamed" by the City of Peoria. It was then transfered to a Ben Joseho III and then to B&B Properties, which is possibly "Ballard and Ballard". The address for B & B onm the real estate tax bill is listed as 1307 tax bill, where Cary Ballard at one time had an office.

1307 Frye is owned by Victoria McCord who received the property from Valerie Jansen.

2400 Sheridan is owned by a Lew Nauman of Morton, who has a pretty good reputation for letting something sit vacant rather than renting to people who tear up the neighborhood.

I doubt that Ballard or B&B can be shamed much in this regard, but at least someone could call Alpha Bank, the mortgage holder and raise a little hell with them. They are a small community bank and I am certain would find it embarrassing to discover that they have a financial link to a Peoria Crack House. If I were them, I would also be concerned about their financial position on an asset that is being questionably managed.

1122 N Flora


Nothing is a more ideal setting for a crack dealer than a shady porch sitting at the intersection of two streets. The ample view allows a heads up notice on any police officers that would think about trying to sneak up on the property. Particularly on sunny afternoons, crack dealers and their crack whore girlfriends can be observed lounging off the porch.

The building on the left is owned by a Tom Zimmerman out of Peoria. He purchased it from Fogler. The building on the right was recently placed into a trust by Roger Heim. These are two properties that can be judge by the caliber of half dressed, 40 ounce swilling people who congregate on the porch eyeballing traffic. Does anyone doubt that the eyeballers are ready to hook up any driver who conceeds that he is "not strait".

These properties have been crack havens for more than a decade. The rumor was that Methodist was going to purchase. But I haven't seen any documents yet. Note how they are still structurally sound. Yes, Peoria requires that it's real estate investors put good roofs over the heads of crack smokers.

1112 N Ellis - Jimmy Boucher


The killer of a family man that worked at a gas station, last resided in this property, or the one next door at 1114 N. Ellis, which has also been owned and managed by Mr. Boucher. It is almost laughable the number of thugs that have hung their cocked hats in Jimmy's places on Ellis and Flora over the last decade. No one owner of property has been more responsible for the unliveability of these streets than Jimmy Boucher. But what the hell does he care....when he lives in Speer, Illinois.

501 W. Columbia Terrace - Terry Wilkerson


If you can judge a property, by the skank that lounges near the sidewalk and eyeballs you as you drive by, this three flat has been judged as a haven for the kind of people that you would not want living in your neighborhood.



The owner thinks he is slick by having the property in Valley Land Trust, but in addition to TERRY WILKERSON being the trustee and being on the mortgage, there is also an assignment of beneficial interest to him that is recorded from his wife or ex-wife.

The neighbors next door. Who have moved, constantly complained of the drugs being sold out of the place. But did they ever get any satisfaction from Mr. WILKERSON.....what the hell should he care, when he lives at R R #5 LAKE SANTA FE, in METAMORA!

1313 N North Street


This property is owned/managed by the Nabil Fady who also own Glen Oak Terrace at 1121 Glen Oak. There is a SECTION 8 contract on this property, and the young man that resides there was caught red handed with coins that he was burglarizing from neighborhood vehicles. The young criminal residing at this house is suspected of being in cahoots with the young criminals that locate themselves at 406 W. Armstrong.

THANKS AGAIN PHA, FOR GIVING THESE LOSERS A HELPING HAND INTO A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD. Maybe the citizens who paid for their homes with hard work, can give them a slap back to the ghetto where they belong.

UPDATE: 406 W. Armstrong, Peoria, Illinois 61606 - Angela Causey


Parole was contacted and advised of the information on this blog. Promptly, Parole agents swarmed the house, arrested and tested Mr. Thompson, who was found to be positive for illegal drugs. Upon questioning, Mr. Thompson admitted that he had been smoking crack in the shed behind the house. He claimed he had not smoked it in the house, because he did not want to dis his woman.

But now there are three young thugs, one with hair not unlike Jermaine Causey that are hanging off of the porch.

Wanna bet that Angela is going to lose her house before the year is out!

DRUG ACTIVITY NOTICE

Dear Angela Causey:

I’m not bothering to introduce myself, but that is only fair, considering you did not bother with introductions when you moved into the neighborhood and began to re-introduce it to young thugs dressed in getto attire, conducting their drug activity. And for that, you should perhaps stay awake at night, wondering who it was that first noticed the kind of people and activity that you allow around your property. Was it your next door neighbor? Or was it the family across the street who has put their house up for sale? Perhaps it is the fellow down the block who walks his dog, or the lady who sits on her porch in the afternoon.

It’s ironic, that someone who was smart enough to qualify for a $61,000.00 loan from GSF Mortgage Corp, 15430 W. Capitol Dr #100, Brookfield, WI 53005, is too stupid to realize that in a neighborhood, where most homes are at least twice the value of yours your neighbors are not going to put up with the sort of illegal, property devaluing crap with which the inhabitants of your property think they can engage.

And here is what we already know about you, Angela R. Causey:

1. You used to live on the East Bluff, in a house subsidized by a PHA affiliated Not for Profit Corporation : Peoria Opportunities Foundation, where you apparently liked to threaten and intimidate your neighbors by letting your Rotwieller run loose;

2. You also had a child at that address, Jamar J. Causey, that like to run around loose at night after curfew;

3. Last year you moved into 406 W. Armstrong, and then you got married to a Christopher L. Thompson when he was paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections in January of 2005;

4. Now if the Christopher L. Thompson listed as your husband on your mortgage is the same Christopher L. Thompson on the criminal records of Peoria County, Christopher has an interesting past. In 1983 he was convicted of an Armed Robbery along with his buddies Purvis Miles and Otto Waller and was sent off to IDOC;

5. Christopher got out, but by 1993 he was back in IDOC for another Robbery;

6. But in 1998, there he is again back in IDOC with another Armed Robbery;

7. Now that would be bad enough, but I noticed that Chris had his drug dealing charges dropped when he copped pleas to the Armed Robberies;

If your intent is to have your, most likely, illegitimate children grow up to be criminals, you really could not have selected a better role model. And this is all really too bad Angela. Here you are in a new house, new neighborhood, new hubby, but the same tired old behavior and chaos is surrounding your new home and spilling into our neighborhood.

So here is how this is going to go down. I’m having a private detective, retired from the Peoria County Sheriff’s office serve you this notice. The detective is also going to make certain that every home from the 100 to the 700 block of Armstrong gets a copy of this notice. I want everyone to know every bit about you that I know, so that the kind of men you surround yourself cannot for a moment think they can intimidate anyone. Please be advised, that unlike your husband, I and the other law abiding men in the neighborhood, have FOID cards and can lawfully possess lethal weapons, and many of us have been formally trained on how to shoot strait. So in other words, don’t for a minute let the people running around your property think that they can go after someone in this neighborhood and nothing will happen to them. Make it very clear to them that we know how to defend ourselves.

Further I expect for you to eliminate anything and anyone from your property that looks even remotely related to the ghetto or any gang activity. That will absolutely include the Hip Hop dressed young men that great each other at the side of your house, with secret hand shakes. And absolutely no hanging out on the porch wearing ghetto clothes with the intent of intimidating the neighbors by their presence.

Meanwhile, I will continue my investigation into you and everyone around you, and provide that information to all law enforcement authorities, DCFS, your bank, your employer, your pastor, if you have one, your mother and anyone else that might be able to talk some sense into you before I have you sued in civil court and have your house taken away.

And don’t for a minute pimp the racial card. West Armstrong is one of the most happily, racially integrated streets in Peoria, if not the State. But here, both the African American and Caucasian families are highly educated, two parent families that have worked their assess off to deserve their homes. Unlike some people, they did deal drugs from their house to pay their mortgage.

For the benefit of your neighbors here are pictures of Mr. Thompson and Jermain Causey, who is currently doing time in IDOC for an armed robbery out of Peoria County. I am just guessing that Jermain is related to you. If he is not, feel free to inform your neighbors that they don’t have to worry about him being paroled to 406 W. Armstrong.
